just made the toffee and it's amazing, my boyfriend and his brother were literally speechless, their eyes just got really glazed over and elated, def a zen moment ha. I used maple syrup instead of brown sugar bc I was out…worked just fine. I also used marcona almonds which were a nice touch. Only problem is trying to get the toffee over the whole circle? Didn't seem to spread big enough. Would it be ok to buy vanilla icecream and add bourbon, mix and put back in freezer…I don't have an icecream machine…

I don't watch Mad Men, but I'm guessing they like bourbon. I like bourbon too, and I like this. Maybe it's a sign I should start watching.
